Valkyrie

Valkyrie is somewhat of a milestone for me. This marks the first Tom Cruise movie I've been excited to see since he took his wrong turn to Crazy Town and started assaulting couches and Brooke Shields. I'm a little confused by the previews though. Is he a German soldier? If so, did he just give up on even trying to have a German accent? Maybe he didn't want to pull a Kevin Costner a la Robin Hood and have his accent fade from British to Malibu during the hour and a half movie.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this one...

  1. Well we went and saw it what do you think now??

-My opion is that it was very historically accurate and that it wasn't over cinimatized for the big screen. It definitely was a tom cruise film. over all I give it a 4 out of 5.

  2. I give it about the same. I thought the acting was superb, the suspenseful nature of the story was captivating, and it was very good at keeping the audience in tune with what went on.

On a side note, I didn't once think of Tom Cruise's couch-jumping incident or weird scientology comments--which means he did a fantastic acting job.

4 out of 5 from me too.
